Take For Granted Everything and Everybody? When We Actually Understand Their values?

It is a common human characteristic to take for granted almost everything and everybody in our lives. This is more obvious in all those aspects of our lives without which we cannot move even an inch.

There is a popular saying, “Blessings are not valued till they are gone.” We become so habituated with things and people that we forget their existence. We forget that the things we use also need repair and maintenance or proper care. We forget or completely ignore people surrounding us, who help us in different ways in our personal or professional lives making our lives easy. They are not lifeless stones, their existence needed to be appreciated.

Each and every part of the human body is important in keeping the body healthy. A pinch of trouble in any part of the body makes our days unproductive. Isn’t it? Do you take proper care of your eyes, teeth, or ears? Mostly no, until we face any problem that disturbs your daily life.

Without a laptop or smartphone, your professional life is meaningless. Do you take proper care of the laptop that remains active all through the day? People even don’t shut down their laptops for weeks keeping them in sleeping mode when not working.

We take things for granted and it has been normalized. We seldom realize how much we neglect everything and everyone who play a vital role in our lives. We become so habituated to this condition that we assume these things are our basic rights. These should be accessible to us whenever we want. Our parents, siblings, spouses, children, or friends, we assume, should be available whenever we want. We get irritated and sometimes fumed if they are not available when we ask them to be present or when we ask them to help us. We are habituated with things and some people in our lives who always surround us, always sorting our problems, and always making our lives easy.

Just imagine that tomorrow morning the laptop is crushed. Will everything work smoothly then? Will there be no change in your routine if your maid doesn’t turn up tomorrow morning? Will you not get angry if the app cab you booked gets 10 minutes late?

Everything and everyone in our lives is taken for granted. We never pay attention to them until they are gone for a while or permanently. We again make the same mistake with a replacement. But, some people and relations in our lives cannot be replaced. We realize the value of those things and people when they are gone.

Appreciate what you have before it is too late.

Appreciate people in your life and pay attention to them.

Appreciate your physical and psychological existence and take proper care of them.

Be mindful of everything and feel the existence of people surrounding you. You are nothing without them.
